Alcazar in Sevilla

Alcazar, palace of Moorish (and later Christian) kings deserves its own post.  An amazing place, we spent most of the day here roaming through the palace and gardens.  Fortunately we had packed fruit so we didn't even need to leave to find food.

Sevilla

I think it's a good thing to be ready to return home from a vacation.  Robert and I were both begining to be weary of all the travelling and were talking with our waiter in Barcelona about this.  He suggested that we go to Sevilla instead of Valencia as planned.  Great suggestion!  We got a little apartment in the old part of town with narrow little streets and small neighborhood plazas.  We made ourselves at home here for 5 days and it was the perfect relaxing destination!

Buoy Boy

First stop in Spain is Barcelona.  We were there for 4 days and decide to go South to Sevilla.  Here internet is not easily accessible, so I'm just posting some Barc photos for now.  Later. Well, it also appears internet is very slow, so just a few photos for now,,, more in a few days.

A Guadi work in progress.  It's taken 100 years and still not finished.

Collioure

Before crossing the border into Spain we stop for a short stay in the little coastal town of Collioure.  Very beautiful and quiet; a perfect place to relax.  On the way here, our train stopped and the engineer got off.  Our
neighbor, who spoke little English made us understand it was a technical problem having to do with the electricity that powered the train.  Within 30 minutes, we were on our way.
